In Macbeth, Shakespeare described sleep as the “balm of hurt minds” – and we assume he was counting naps too.

Rather than pull an all-nighter, great business performers should discipline themselves to include rest as part of their work, just as great athletes (and great sled-dogs) do. Over-working, like over-training, usually results in lower performance, more mistakes, and not having the energy to finish the race when it counts.
