Potential energy is valuable  – it represents the possibility of meaningful action – but it doesn’t count for much until it plays out through “kinetic” action in which something is actually achieved.

A changing-of-the-guard has begun at companies as retiring Baby Boomers leave executive positions. Your high-potential leaders (or you, if you happen to be one) will need to convert their “potential energy” into “kinetic energy” – not just to fill the gaps in leadership, but to gain ground and achieve even greater success.
